Fun introduction to 2 of our favorite criminals
17 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It's crazy to fathom just how far Ricky & Julian have come from just being 2 common criminals in a small trailer park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Today, they're touring across Canada, the US and Europe, bringing their foul-mouthed, alcohol fueled and drug-happy personas with them, along with their best friend, Bubbles. And to think, they started here, on a small TV channel with very little advertising, and within a few years, their cult following grew and grew. This is the episode where a lot of it began.

Fresh out of jail after an 18-month sentence, Julian & Ricky are on their way back to Sunnyvale trailer park to pick up where their lives left off. While Julian has to evict a criminal named Cyrus who is living in the 1950s, Ricky just tries to find a place to sleep where Lahey & Randy (The trailer park supervisor & his assistant) won't harass him.

This is where most of us were introduced to the trailer park boys, and their associates. We meet Bubbles, who isn't much of a major character just yet, we meet Corey & Trevor, 2 guys who are a bit younger than Julian & Ricky, and look up to them like heroes, we meet J-Roc & the Rocpile, a group who adopt their image heavily from that of South Central LA gang (The only difference being that J-roc and his buddies would never commit a violent crime because his mom would ground him.) and most important, we meet Mr. Lahey, the ultimate antagonist for guys like Ricky & Julian.

There's a lot of episodes of the show that would be good to start with, but chronologically this is the beginning.
