I really enjoyed the movie from an entertainment perspective but as a former Marine, I almost screamed out loud a few times.
First, whoever produced the movie needed a Marine on set and in the writer's room. A Marine wouldn't refer to his team as "soldiers." Second, generals do NOT wear stripes on their upper arms. There is a FOUR star General wearing Gunny stripes. Third, .50 caliber rounds from an M2 machine gun do NOT leave little holes in a head when shot. Fourth, if you have a machine gun or three AND a grenade launcher, you should use them in combat.
Aside from the above though, I really liked the movie. Good story. It shows sacrifice for mission. All in all, I would want it again, AND I would NOT have walked out of a movie theater pissed if I had paid to see this.
