Snapshot of life
30 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
OUT OF THE CLOUDS is one of those 'snapshot' type films that shines a light into a certain sector of society; this one is depicting life in a British airport, circa 1954. The genre is more familair these days from reality TV shows like, well, AIRPORT, so the draw here is seeing how things have changed (or not) in the ensuing 60 years. The production values are high quality, which is no surprise for an Ealing production, and a cast packed with the usual familiar faces helps to ease viewing, although it's not the most thrilling of pictures, it has to be said.
