MEN WHO CAN'T MAKE LOVE PROPERLY MAKES WAR
22 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this movie after reading about this one in an article and even after i downloaded it ,took me a while to watch it.But this movie kept me engaged from start.I could instantly connect with the protagonist may be because i come from orthodox muslim family and i am well aware of the position of women in islam.Though not as extreme as this one. The film heavily benefits from the performance of the lead actress(golshifthe farahani)who holds the film altogether. The film deals with variety of themes though the position of women amidst of extreme religious rules is the central theme. The situation of war is depicted as a routine thing.eventhough there is fear among the people there is a kind of hopelessness in their eyes due to witnessing it for a long time. There is a scene where the protagonist smiles after making love with a young terrorist.Though she commits adultery and is a big sin and seems to be in the wrong side,we see the happiness on her face, for once in her life to be made love properly,to be held and to be with a man who loves her and we kind of understand her. On the negative side the climax feels rushed and could have been better.
