Mary Elizabeth Winstead blew me away in this film. It's so good to see her in such a strong role. Slightly similar to the remake (2nd) of "The Thing" (2011), but in this, she is better. She must have jumped at the chance to take this role. I like how "Rafe" (Common) supports her. Typically, it's the other way around. A similar thing occurred in the brilliant film "Arrival" (2016), directed by Denis Villeneuve; starring Amy Adams, with Jeremy Renner supporting. Ms. Adams killed that role. In fact, that is the absolute best sci-fi film I have seen in the past 3+ years. I saw "Gemini Man" (2019) last month which Ms. Winstead has a good role in. However, (for me) it is action, action, action for Will Smith. A uniquely made film, but quickly forgotten. Again, kudos to Mary Elizabeth Winstead in this film.
