I have tried to watch this several times. It was on today, and I thought I would take another shot at it. I am a fan of Fred Astaire and Leslie Caron - but not together in this movie. The movie itself is not very good - it seems to try too hard to be a MGM musical and simply isn't. I cringed at the Shue Foot number where Fred wades into a sea of college kids to dance with his love interest, Leslie. That is where the "Ick Factor" really got me. I know age difference movies are all over the place (like Sabrina with Bogart and Hepburn, Love in the Afternoon with Cooper and Hepburn, Funny Face with Astaire and Hepburn - WOW, is there a pattern here?? LOL), but for some reason this one gets me most of all because it is because she was a teenager who had a sponsor to fund her college = this seems a little creepy. Just did not like the movie as a whole - but if you do, then okay.
