Made me angry, made me shed a tear and made me appreciate Pink Floyd even more
5 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
If the intent was to create a feeling of anger and sadness, enough to motivate someone to rethink the current world and political state, job well done. It did just that and I was actually amazed how it created that much emotion in me. The images of the world state of people, the plastic wastelands, the Trump phrases, all that it suggests we are not in a good place. In this immediate moment of despair created by this masterpiece, I quickly thought of Greta Thunberg and her efforts, my teenage niece today posting on Facebook about buying in bulk and the young people's rising sentiment about climate change in general. Within the concert audience in this movie, there were many young and old who hopefully will make a renewed effort from this inspiration. I know I am going to do better, more so than ever before. What is most amazing is the relevance of the music and lyrics of Pink Floyd after so many years. It is just as relevant today as it was so many years ago. Thank you.
