I must admit that watching the original Ben 10 wasn't always my cup of tea.
The animation is good and has many vibrant colours and detailed backgrounds put to it, a thing Man of Action has in many of the shows with their involvement. And the action is actually pretty intense at times considering the show is mostly aimed at kids.
But unlike let's say Generator Rex or the later Ben 10 series, this series sadly has main characters who almost never does anything but argue and insult each other and it gets really tiring. Ben himself is a real self-absorbed jerk who always reminds everybody how awesome he is and how he is the sole reason why the day was saved.
The villains of the show can be pretty cool and they are quite intimidating at times. But the fact that the entire show revolves around Ben acquiring the Omnitrix to turn him into these different aliens is sadly not explored that much and makes the show seem empty and gimmicky.
Not a bad show, but it could have benefitted from more sympathetic main characters and deeper exploration of the Omnitrix and its alien origin.
