Mary Catherine Gallagher gets her feature flick. The SNL character had just enough meat to draw out a full movie. Mary who dreams of being a successful performer gets her big shot in her high school play. Will she become a superstar? Zing! All of her SNL character joke bits of falling into stacks of chairs and sniffing her fingers after they've been smushed in her arm pits are covered in the first 20 minutes. The rest of the humor is basic. Not great but also not horrendous. This character was stretched thin enough to the point of breaking yet just held it together.
