Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: One of the better versions
9 May 2019
Considering I'm not keen on the Robert Louis Stevenson classic I quite enjoyed this adaptation.

I'm not going to spew the plot, if you don't know it by now then that rock you live under must be way out in the desert somewhere.

With a stellar cast, above par performances and some of the best cinematography I've seen come out of the 1930's this is a splendid little movie.

I'm genuinely shocked at the movies age, I've seen movies made in the 1950's that didn't look this polished so all the credit in the world to everyone who worked behind the camera.

Fine, Mr Hyde did look like the Wolfmans goofy cousin but it didn't take anything away from the movies impact.

Damn fine job.

The Good:

Ahead of its time

Miriam Hopkins and Edgar Norton

The Bad:

I'm just not keen on the overplayed story
