The series will appeal to fans of Throne of Blood and similar series that are set in the distant past with feuding lords, family rivalries, and lots of blood and gore. There isn't much sex, though there are lots of attractive people. The distinctive difference with this one is the emphasis on Christianity as a tool of war.
