Had a big potential but...

But the lame accents, quiet dialogues, some sleep-inducing sequences and misleading plot about who stole the box really annoyed me, especially the last part. Why are we shown Mary, the protagonist's girlfriend kinds, taking a last glance at the box under the bed? I was sure that Mary stole it. I thought that the director wanted to let us know this simple fact. But throughout and especially by the end of the movie, if we follow that simple fact, nothing makes sense. So I think the director wanted to mislead us intetionally, but it was done in such a way that feels like he was trolling the viewers. I feel a bit insulted honestly, I had to go through all that confusion, where there should be none. That being said, the movie had potential, from the, cinematic perspective it was beaufitully shot, The box was very pretty and an interesting device, the actors were good, if they only talked more clearly. The gory effects were for the major part pretty well done, although, in a couple instances the blood kinda looked like ketchup just smeared on the victim's bodies. I'm confused about the rating because honestly it was half boring and half entertaining. So I'll give it a 5 out of 10.
