Lon Chaney Jr in a goofy 1960s horror
6 February 2019
Another weird, wacky one from Lon Chaney jr... written and directed by Jack Hill. Revolves around the "merrye syndrome", where one reverts to a child's age, and commits mayhem, murder, and cannibalism. The narrator looks at the camera and reads from a book about it. and then the adventure begins... Bruno, the family chauffeur, tries to look after Ralph (Sid Haig, without the beard) and the two girls, but they are clearly too much for him. Co-stars Carol Ohmart and Beverly Washburn. When relatives show up to look after the family, the real adventures begin. It's all pretty silly, but fun if you go with the flow. and that mustache on "Schlocker" the attorney is just ridiculous! Karl Schanzer only made six films, and this was the last. it's all pretty good. goofy horror from the 1960s. Shows now and then on Turner Classic. Not bad.
