Review of The Crush

The Crush (I) (2010)
7/10
A boy out of control due to romance fever
5 February 2019
As the story starts, we find there is a strange boy staring at somewhere else. With his dreaming eye and a female teacher whom he is looking at, we can easily understand that he is falling love with her. No matter what actions other children take like booing to an assignment or getting lively by her promise of treating, only he does is keep looking at her! What an innocent and single-minded first love it is, many of the audiences might think so at first. Maybe even with the expectation of broken heart in the end of the film from the title. But if you do, you should know that this kind of motivation of youth is sometimes driven in a very radical direction. When he finds an engagement ring on her left finger, which is not the one he gave her, his youth blood starts to be out of control. To be honest, the female teacher seems so irresponsible person for me at this point. Though she once receives the ring from the boy and even puts on her finger, now she tries to convince immature boy to say that it is complicated in adult's world! Triggered by this word, he decides to revenge her fiancée and gets her back, and his craziness reminds me of boys in a film Lord of the Flies.
