The rep Tour: A One In A Life Time Show That Must Be Watched
1 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The reputation Stadium Tour was a one in a lifetime kind of situation, one of those concerts that will take many decades to be surpassed, if that ever happens. When everyone thought Taylor Swift had reached her peak, she came back with a game-changing record-breaking show that summed up her full-of-hits career perfectly, along with celebrating her latest album, the best selling of 2018, 'reputation'. Taylor was in every detail. She sang the very best of her tunes, gave very eloquent and inspiring personal speeches for her fans (of all ages may I say), danced (YES) and sang like never before and, even despite all the heavy production of the show, she took time to strip the music down for a minute and sing some of her oldest songs acoustically, just for the fans, like in the old days. Honestly, Taylor had never been as personal and raw as she was during this tour, even when it could seem like the total opposite, since she would sing for a +60k crowd each night. The show was an event of massive scales: there were fireworks all over the place, a gigantic screen (biggest made for a concert), a huge stage that would reflect images, two extra stages in the middle of the field and flying carriages (yes), not to mention the light up bracelets each fan would get, that would create figures along the crowd! It was no mean feat to make this show a movie. There were too many sides to cover. However, it was perfectly accomplished. The movie sums up perfectly how incredible the show was. Fans who attended will relive all the memories again as many times as they want and those who didn't get the chance to be there will get a full glimpse of the reputation era and the marvelous artist Taylor is. Overall, Taylor Swift took this concert to a superior level and this movie reflects that. She keeps re-doing herself over and over again, for the better, even when that seems impossible! Her perfectionism and creativeness did wonders, as per usual. I feel lucky that I got the chance to attend the tour and grateful that now I get to watch it all over again in my living room. Watch the movie, it's amazing!
