Another one of those gems that will never cease touching your heart and soul no matter how many times you see it. The characters are so real and the story is simple but dealing with complex human emotions. The pace is slow which works perfectly since it emphasises the inner struggle and the loneliness that the two main characters are dealing with. It also creates a nice atmosphere that slowly draws you in and does not let go easily for quite some time after watching. Another treat that Columbus offers is beautiful photography. There are so many scenes that you could pause and it would work great as a beautiful photograph. If you are into good, quiet and realistic stories, you will love this film.
