I Feel Bad (2018)
6/10
not that special
28 December 2018
Emet Kamala-Sweetzer tries to have everything and feels bad when it doesn't all come together. She's the head of a bunch of game designing nerds. She has her two young kids, her Indian immigrant parents, her white husband, and her crew of nerdy game designers.

This is essentially I Don't Know How She Does It with an ethnic bent. First, it's a bad title. It puts the audience in a bad mood from the start. I don't care that it's the title of the book. Sarayu Blue is fine as the lead. The writing is nothing special despite its production pedigree. It starts bad which happens sometimes but it does get better. It has some ethnic humor but it does not get into their ethnicity. Her work family and family family are also very separate. Why not have her be the head of her own small video game company based out of her home with the nerds coming to her house? That way they can intermingle. This is fine but not that special.
