The Adventures of Whip Wilson
25 November 2018
Cowhands Whip Wilson and Tommy Farrell wander into town looking for a job. Beef prices are down, so no one has a nickel, but the two accept the roles of marshal and deputy. There's a gunslinger in town range war brewing and they look into it.

It's Wilson's last movie as star, and there's a change in personnel behind camera. Lewis Collins has been replaced as director. Now it's Thomas Carr behind the megaphone and he tries something new: he has Wilson speak a couple of lines while walking.

It's a good story and Ernest Miller and Charles Van Enger get some good camerawork in, including some dark lighting for the interiors and handsome work on the Iverson Ranch. Wilson's career would end with a couple of uncredited bits, but series ingenue Phyllis Coates did ok. Director Carr would cast her as Lois Lane for a season of TV's THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN.
