Not a crack of the whip
24 November 2018
Wyoming Roundup has Whip Wilson and sidekick Tommy Farrell arriving in town and after cleaning up a group of hired gunmen in a saloon brawl, saloon owner Lyle Talbot gives them a meal on the house and the town council hires them as marshals as the sheriff was recently slain. In fact that's how the film opens.

A couple of feuding ranchers are at the heart of this range war. But let's say Wilson and Farrell do too good a job in finding out who the real criminals are who are hiring people like Robert J. Wilkie to rough folks up.

Whip Wilson who was to be Monogram's Lash LaRue never even cracked it once during the film. Whip came along a bit too late, his stuff was being seen regularly on that box that was getting into everyone's living room.

Average horse opera, nothing special.
