True Lies rip-off
7 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
THE SECRET AGENT CLUB is nothing more than a complete rip-off of the James Cameron movie TRUE LIES, albeit one aimed at a much younger audience. Kids are the heroes this time around, getting into an adventure when it transpires that no less than their mild-mannered father, Hulk Hogan, is a spy on the run from some dangerous criminals. Scenes are ripped off wholesale from the Cameron flick, but this is very much bottom of the barrel viewing and a good example of how Hogan's Hollywood career crashed and burned in the 1990s. The humour is juvenile, the acting weak, the plot pure hokum. Watch out for minor parts for the likes of M.C. Gainey, James Hong, Barry Bostwick and Jack Nance.
