Yes, this is by no stretch of the imagination a brilliantly written screenplay and the acting is a bit better than the wooden nutcracker but it's a bit of fluff and nonsense for the Christmas holidays.
This is the perfect style of movie to have on in the background while putting up the Xmas decorations, so sit back and enjoy it and have another eggnog!.
