Indy's Very Educational Beginning
13 October 2018
This made for television movie is actually an edit of the Young Indiana Jones series. George Lucas decided that the series would be more marketable if it were edited into a serial movie series, to be a bookend to the feature films. The idea worked, at least to the fan base of the Indiana Jones films. And in actuality, it worked to a level that a 4th feature film was made, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

In this first film, Indy goes on his first adventures to Egypt in 1908, with his mother and father. They meet several famous people, including Lawrence of Arabia. Indy learns early about other cultures and norms of the time, even slavery. He also learns what a true archaeologist does, instead of robbing the dead, but rather preserve the past.

If you are a history buff, or a history teacher, these films and the dvd counterparts have great material and documentaries to aid the education of young minds.
