Bungler's Row
27 September 2018
It takes special talent to take the acting talent of Karl Malden, the charm of Dean Martin and the sex appeal of Ann-Margret and turn it into this boring, bungled mess. OK, Ann-Margret dances he *** off and for a while you think, maybe that's enough. Well, turns out it isn't. Dean Martin embarrasses himself. Malden plays it surprisingly straight and manages to maintain his dignity. The pacing and editing is worse than a home movie. The special effects worse than a Godzilla sequel. Honestly, 1966 TV had much better stuff going on. I'd have been really unhappy to have dropped money to go watch this turkey at the theatre. Hard to believe they made two more of these.
