Nifty retrospective documentary

Warning: Spoilers
This 43-minute retrospective documentary on the making of the road movie cult classic "Two-Lane Blacktop" takes an interesting and inspired approach by having director Monte Hellman, daughter Melissa, and several film students embark on a road trip in which they talk about the movie and visit various locations. Hellman reveals that he turned down an opportunity to direct "The Christian Licorice Store" and had the original script for "Two-Lane Blacktop" drastically rewritten. Moreover, Hellman got the idea for the ending from a dream, decided to cast James Taylor as the driver after seeing Taylor on a billboard advertising his first album, shot the picture in sequence, and refused to show the script to most of the cast. In addition, Melissa Hellman admits that she forgot to put on underwear for her small role in the movie. Recommended viewing for fans of the film.
