7/10
Ending almost ruined it

Warning: Spoilers
A family drama about a patriarch desperate to bring his family together, he had to continue with his wrong diagnosis of lung cancer when in fact, he only has TB. Aside from the neglect of the doctor in differentiating these 2 diseases, the script of Seven Sundays is well written.

The portrayal of the siblings led by Aga Muhlach (Alan) and Dingdong (Bryan) were realistic and relatable. It didn't hurt the the 2 actors have mastered their craft in the past years. The conversations between dad and children and between siblings were seldom cringeworthy and almost never cheesy. Of course Valdez as the patriarch did a convincing performance.

Now that ending, a song and dance may be out of place but it certainly brought the movie to a rightful happy ending. It didn't deateoy tge rest of the movie dor me; nevertheless, maybe some other happy ending ideas can be thought of?
