Season 8, Episode 3

The thriller THE GOOD SON, the football drama THE PROGRAM, Robert DeNiro's A BRONX TALE, BOPHA! and DAZED AND CONFUSED are the film's discussed on this week's episode. As I've said in previous reviews, I find watching these episodes decades after they originally aired to be quite entertaining. It proves that the show itself holds up extremely well thanks to both Siskel and Ebert. It's also fun to watch these again and remember where you were as a film buff when you originally watched it. The episodes also work when you think about where the films are now. DAZED AND CONFUSED gets a good review here but I don't think anyone at the time would have guessed it would become the classic it is today. There are some very good discussions about the films including THE GOOD SON getting attacked by the critics for its ugliness and "children in harm" theme.
