Funny spoof of the adult film industry
21 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This amusing and lighthearted send-up of the adult film industry benefits tremendously from the excellent and engaging lead performances by the ever-reliable John Leslie and super foxy blonde Jessie St. James as a pair of arrogant and antagonistic hardcore movie stars who get into a bitter feud with each other. Moreover, director Henri Pachard keeps the enjoyable story whisking along at a constant pace and maintains an amiable tongue-in-cheek tone throughout. The sturdy cast of dependable Golden Age adult cinema regulars rates as another substantial asset: Herschel Savage as hunky pool cleaner Bud Cochran, the delectable Angel as eager young starlet Daisy Cheney, Colleen Brennan as the sassy Ginger, Kay Parker as lascivious secretary Dorothy, and Tigr as an alluring water nymph. David F. Friedman not only provides a bright and witty script that pokes merry fun at the porn business, but also acquits himself well in a sizable supporting role as rascally movie mogul Bernard Kuntz. The sex scenes are quite hot and energetic, with Angel's big audition set piece rating as a definite scorching highlight. The alternately jaunty and funky score by Johnny Powers does the tuneful trick . A real hoot -- and a raunchy good time to boot.
