Rex is a nerdy, picked on high school student. The class goes on a field trip to a mine. The teacher claims Einstein said time travel is possible and the atom bomb happened, and a helicopter is flying overhead, so Rex goes back into time and meets a cute blonde and a much of stereotyped dumb cavemen that don't even know zug-zug.
The humor didn't make it. It was 80's style adolescent humor which is really bad by today's standards.
