I was in middle school when Yu-Gi-Oh first appeared on US TV and unfortunately only watched about 3/4 of Battle City tournament (not due to lack of interest but because of strict parents). Well, 15 years later and in my late 20's, I just randomly thought about this anime and decided to finish watching it, mainly out of curiosity on how it all ends for Yugi and his friends. To my surprise, I enjoyed watching it more so as an adult than when I was a preteen. I watched the 4Kids version due to nostalgia and familiarity but despite all the backlash and criticism it appears to receive from viewers who prefer the Japanese original, I still think the dub is satisfactory, esp. the last few episodes when...um...anyway, I became so attached to the characters I didn't want it to end :( Most of all, I love the card game and cannot stop playing Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links on my smartphone!
