Bakugan Battle Brawlers (2007–2011)
4/10
Great game, love the toys, but I seriously don't like this show.

Warning: Spoilers
I actually liked this show as a kid. It was nostalgic to go back to this show, but I don't like it all that much anymore. There were three major card games in the late 2000s. Pokemon, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh. But I was into... Bakugan. I actually think the game surpasses Pokemon in many different ways. But the show doesn't.

Problem #1: The Characters: They are all clichéd. Like, Runo is a brat, Dan is... well, the kid who wants to be the very best (sound familiar?), Marucho's the nerd and Shun is the stoic, quiet one.

Problem #2: The Premise: The plot for this show is completely unoriginal. The plot resembles a fusion of Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon. I don't know a whole lot about Yu-Gi-Oh but I can still call it a ripoff of both, can't I? Dan wants to be the highest ranked Bakugan player in the world. Similar how Ash wants that too. I'm not gonna call this ripping off as I am gonna call it clichéd.

Problem #3: The Animation: Anime can get away with cheap animation because the backgrounds look very detailed and well done. It's the same here, except much, much cheaper. The character designs are utter crap. I honestly think you could eat a bunch of Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon card DVDs and crap out something far better than this show
