Every so often the Bailey&Spencer team gets involved in a story from their respective pasts, Stu Bailey with the OSS in World War II and Jeff Spencer from the marines in the Korean War. In this story Efrem Zimbalist gets an intelligence assignment to verify work done by a Nazi scientist now with the Soviets.

It initially does not seem to be anything involving violence but all is most definitely not what it seems especially after Narda Onyx is stabbed in a Berlin nightclub. There's someone definitely working at cross purposes.

A nice cast is assembled with Patric Knowles from British Intelligence, Carl Esmond as a Werner Von Braun figure, Adam West from the CIA, Robert Christopher as a member of Bailey's OSS team who defected, Lilli Kardell as his wife and Reggie Nalder as the scarred and deadly Russian agent. Nalder you might best remember as the assassin in The Man Who Knew Too Much.

Nalder has these people bugged but Zimbalist is wise to that. Best scene is him placing a call to the office where Kookie and Roscoe are holding down the fort. Zimbalist speaks to Kookie in that jive language that Edd Byrnes made popular. Nalder is absolutely enraged that he can't figure it out.

Sometimes hanging around Kookie pays off.
