Warning: Spoilers
"Telling Lies" is a 4-minute animated(?) short film from 2001, so it has its 15th anniversary this year. The writer and director is Simon Ellis and he made this a while before his only BAFTA nominations. I am not familiar with any of the actors. I must say this was not too great of a film. We have a protagonist and we listen to his phone conversations with his mother, (ex-)girlfriend, affair and buddy. And it all has to do with his sexual relationships with women in terms of what they are talking about. We have no clue who is telling the truth and who is not. I personally must say I am glad it was that short because at under 250 seconds it was an okay watch. i still wonder who these people are and why I would care for them. because I really did not. The animation style, simply depicting the phone messages, was as simple as the film itself. I can't recommend the watch.
