Warning: Spoilers
I came across a program on Netflix streaming called "The Truth Behind: The Nasca Lines", the release date and running time match so it is the same program. Not sure why it has two different names.

Anyway I have always been curious about the world around us, and particularly about things from the past that we don't fully understand.

In southern Peru in an otherwise dry and deserted area, are giant lines. Some of them are very straight for miles and miles as if they were ancient runways. Others form large, intricate figures only discernible from the air, like drawings of giant monkeys and other creatures.

One theory that had gotten a lot of traction over the years is the former visits by aliens that had created the figures and had used the runways for landings.

This program explores the habits of the ancient Nasca tribes and tries, successfully, to relate their customs to the existence of the lines. Excavations finding buried skeletons without heads plus certain pottery remains with the same figures as the giant Nasca lines lends support to the conclusions.

The study is augmented by modern technology, use of flying drones with high-definition cameras to allow researchers to develop 3D computer models of the terrain and the Nasca lines to study them more thoroughly.

Overall a very nice, worthwhile program.
