Couldn't he get a coaching gig?
7 February 2016
The one thing I always wondered about Tony Danza's character in Who's The Boss was why couldn't he get a coaching job somewhere? Even if he wasn't a star ballplayer the doors to coaching jobs are usually wide open to former major leaguers. And I presume he was playing in the days before free agency.

So Tony Danza together with daughter Alyssa Milano before she became an enchanted Halliwell sister move into Judith Light's house in suburban Connecticut to become the housekeeper. It's quite a house Light is an uptight divorcée with a child around Milano's age played by Danny Pintauro. Presiding over it all is one foxy grandma played by Katherine Helmond. This woman is by no means over the hill and she makes everyone uncomfortable letting them know it.

Who's The Boss gained most of its humor with the culture clash between street level Brooklyn and exclusive Fairfield County. It took a few seasons but the sexual tension between Light and Danza finally burst forth. One of the better played out romances in a TV series.

Wonder if they had any kids?
