Prada: Candy (2013)
6/10
Léa Seydoux and two men
9 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
"Candy" is a 3.5 minute short film from 2 years ago written and directed by Wes Anderson with his longtime collaborator Roman Coppola. I have to say I did not find the story really memorable or interesting. It is okay for 3 minutes, but that's it. Still the inclusion of Seydoux worked well and I would love to see her in a Wes Anderson full feature film with his unique style that is also clearly visible in here. The moment when the party starts and she is eating that delicious cake is something pretty special. That is also why the middle segment of the three is probably my favorite. All in all, a decent watch. Not a must-see by any means, but certainly superior to the one starring Schwartzman as a racecar driver. I recommend "Candy".
