10/10
shocked and breathless
10 August 2015
This less than 2 hour film left me shocked and almost breathless in the end. It's the most honest and powerful movie that I've ever seen in my life. The story goes about one full night from the life of an adult prostitute in Rio. Life on the bottom of the bottom where nothing matters - not a beauty, not a heart, not the dreams, not the love.. Style is almost a documentary with moments of phantasmagoria right after that. Music matters as much as the words. I have no idea how the main actress (Vera Fischer) played this role - it's out of my comprehension, she is just fantastic to make it so naturally yet expressively. To see such a beauty in all that dirt, violence, humiliation and despair - it's heartbreaking... The film leaves no illusion about this life on the bottom of the society. With all it's horror and dirt that was shown, this film is crystal clean as any real truth, which makes the Hollywood "so nice" production like "Pretty woman" a true garbage as any huge and deliberate lie about life!! With all my respect to the authors and actors of this superb film - THANK YOU!
