Ella Lola, a la Trilby (1898)

The title pretty much tells you everything that you'd need to know about this film that clocks in around thirty seconds. Ella Lola was a well-known dancer at the time and it's easy to see why as she's quite pretty and manages to put on a good show. Obviously girls dancing were quite popular at the time since there were so many movies made about them in these early days of cinema. This one here is one of the better examples as the dance itself is more than her just spinning around as she also works in some nice leg kicks, which I'm sure guys loved in 1898 since you did get to see a lot of her leg. Of course, modern viewers probably won't get it but it's a fascinating way to look back at popular events from over a hundred years ago.
