Could be a nice family movie but the depiction is quite hyperbolic
16 June 2015
The story is really neat for a family audience, especially for those who have kids at Timothy's age. All the usual clichés of a family and parenthood movie is served, nothing really gets left out. Yet the story took it a step too far in depicting Timothy's innocence. A bit too much that it turned my curiosity into pity and further a bit into irritation that the kid should be treated that way and he just swallowed it. The eventual finale is very much predictable but it served its purpose well enough. The acting overall is quite a good one in my view. Jennifer Garner seem to be in her comfort zone with her role here. But Joel Edgerton played well enough that it kind of surprised me due to his image at action roles.
