Me and my sisters feelings are hurt ass hell
16 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I don't even know where to begin with this thing

I hate everything about it. Or almost, the voice acting is good, but that is pretty much it.

The best way to describe how I feel about this game is to compare it to a really bad fanfiction you read at 3 in the morning. That kind of fanfiction where the person who wrote it starts the summary with "I actually didn't like any of the characters! But the story was cool, so I figured I'd try and put my OC's in! R&R!!!"

It has everything a bad fanfiction should have. Boring and bland new main characters with boring and bland names, a Female with no personality and a "bitchy" attitude to make her seem cool. She is suppose to be so cool but she keeps getting kidnapped and needs to be saved all the time.

Forced romances out of nowhere (Salem and Alice, let's be honest), forced conflicts between friends out of nowhere, character assassination (Salem) out of character behaviour (Rios and Salem) no actual background check for the game and characters, Spelled main characters name wrong (Salem), stupid and obvious plot twists, obvious favourite, Mary sue (Alpha, Bravo, Fiona), inconsistency with old canon (Changing T.W.O's meaning, spelling names different, Rios is a pilot now? Rios was never in the rangers? Tattoos magically missing or changing place?)

I could honestly go on, and THIS IS NOT EVEN BRINGING UP THE "GAME PLAY"

The "game play" is a watered down version of the first game. I remember hearing the developers saying that they "Wanted to focus on the co-op". And apparently that means taking out a butt ton of things from the two first games and making everything they kept impossible to do. Like me and my sister where stuck on the tutorial for sliding behind cover. For 20 minutes. Sliding behind cover and opening doors SHOULD NOT BE HARD. Those are basic things.

Yet actually killing things and progressing in the story is incredibly easy. Aside from when glitches prevents you from getting anywhere. But this "overkill" thing is not like in the original Army of two. Where you actually had to earn it. it's easy to get and it lasts forever and you can kill everything you see in a matter of seconds.

And just the fact that the white washed Rios. Suddenly all his tattoos are covered up and he can't speak with Fiona in the beginning of the game even tho he is suppose to be fluent in the language?

This game hostly feels like they spend all their time and money destroying the beloved Rios and Salem. They do nothing but assassinating Salem's character every opportunity they get. Then again both Rios and Salem are super out of character from the start. All Rios and Salem do is to be stupid for the purpose of making it seem like Alpha and Bravo actually have personalities. The game does everything to assure you no one is gay. While Rios and Salem's ambiguous relationship was a big part of the two first games, The devils cartel sets out to completely ruin any friendship they have. Constantly showing everyone's heterosexuality in your face (Bravo's thing with Fiona, constant talk about Rios sister, that he suddenly has. Alpha's "I got a girl at home" comment. Alice and Salem suddenly being a thing?)

The writers also figured that they should cut down on the humour apparently. Because calling someone gay and a girl is waaaay funnier than actual well written jokes.

But I'll stop right there, I could go on, I really, really could. But I 'll just say that this is the worst game I have ever played and I was literally crying in the end because it was so bad. This game murdered Army of two. And if they ever do make another game they have to, THEY HAVE TO back the tape and pretend this monstrosity never happened.

I really hate to be this mean and harsh. But this game just hit me and my sister where it hurts. I can't go easy on it.
