I don't understand all the hate on Annie's new skin color. Annie's supposed to adapt to every generation's (or area's) expectation of "poor" and prejudice. Did you know that Marvel's Nick Fury is actually originally white ? Nope. You did not. However, I didn't like the movie completely because of Cameron Diaz' acting in this movie (god damn she was a pain in the ass) Also, the music was alright, it just had a weird sound that I didn't quite like. It was obvious that the actors are not singers. The chemistry between Annie and Will was adorable nevertheless. Quvenzhané Wallis is a very talented, adorable and charismatic actress. It's really refreshing to see a good child actor. I adore the original and I do like the concept of the remake. It's an interesting take on the original (with really upbeat music). It could've been better if the acting wasn't as awkward or stiff at some moments or if they didn't force it to be "hip" and "modern" but other than that it's not a horrible movie. It's very mediocre.
