Compared to my most recent favorite horrors (Skinwalker,Banshee), this one doesn't quite measure up. Still, I love seeing alien movies. I don't like the massively overdone Southern accent on the guy from the cabin. That actor was weak actually. The aliens look cool, the fx are really good. At least you get to see the aliens early on. Basically once they make it to the cabin, the movie becomes slow and dull and you are left wanting more. The movie should almost be called Cabin Fever not Alien Abduction. The mother actor wasn't very convincing; the child actors are good though. This is not a shocker type of horror, it's just not quite as fine-tuned as that. I really want to give this movie a higher rating because it's an alien thriller, but it just doesn't deserve it. Pretty much half the movie is them hiding in a cabin while the movie is short to begin with. There are some legitimate tense moments with good shocks, but it's overall lacking that OOMPH factor.
