A few things of the infinite things wrong with this movie
22 December 2013
Amir Khan is a name associated with interesting cinema, carefully chosen plots and perfectionist execution. Unfortunately all of those seem to be completely untrue in his new movie, Dhoom 3. The third film in the Dhoom franchise, is, a mindless movie trying to be intelligent, an unfunny movie trying to be funny and a thriller as thrilling as coca cola commercials. In simple terms, the movie fails miserably. This is some of the laziest script writing I've had the displeasure to experience in years. Without further ado, i present the plot and somethings that are wrong with movie: A failed Indian magician in Chicago, takes a loan from a bank to keep his business afloat and defaults on the banks payment, In his last attempt to convince the bankers for an extension, he invites them to a screening of a special trick, for the first time. The ruthless, heartless bankers, Agree to see his act, where Mr.Anderson is introduced(The banks CEO i think, its never really made clear). In spite of his two colleagues being impressed by the circus, Mr.Anderson isn't impressed (he probably saw the prestige, or was too worried about the risks of extending his loan), and so, he demands his money be returned. Now, well, Jackie Shroff kills himself because of the bankers stance, in front of Sahil(Amir Khan)(Played by a child artist for this scene). Now this gives Sahil enough reason to rob all of Western Bank or whatever Bank that Mr.Anderson owned or managed or was a part of. So with a solid premise like this, the story begins, with Sahil master-planning and stealing the banks, except we never get to see how he steals the banks. The exciting parts of a heist movie are the details, this movie lazily skimps away from all of that to cut to the escape chase. Now, this escape was what this movie is supposed to be all about, but you lose faith once his bike transforms into a boat. Okay I'm cutting the plot line short as its easier to read it up in Wikipedia. With semi decent acting, horrible music, depressing comedy(Uday Chopra), this movie is aimed exclusively at the rural audience who have been numbed down enjoy ridiculous cinema. Please avoid this movie at all costs, let it be know that the audience expect some intelligence, or lets at least, say, some thought to whats being filmed.
