Disconnect (I) (2012)
6/10
Original subject

Disconnect establishes a picture of the Internet, its flaws and what sort of tragedies it can lead to.

The movie doesn't leave unmoved but its script lacks depth and most importantly it is too predictable: you know the starting point, the finishing point, and the path to get there. Moreover, the different, sometimes intertwined, story lines are rather heterogeneous in terms of quality: the part revolving around Kyle is pretty boring for example. One could also regret the fact that, as the minutes go, the writing becomes less precise and the scenario looses some of its appeal, not to mention the editing could have been more restrictive.

Nevertheless, the movie deserves credit for dealing with a rather original subject in a sincere way and very polished fashion on every level. Special mention to the cast who did an excellent job.
