Various characters come to L.A. to seek fame and stay at the motel complex. Raquel Westbrook (Jewel Staite) is the aging actress. Nick Wagner (Joe Dinicol) is trying to break into comedy. Abby Vargas (Cassie Steele) is the young ingénue. Tariq Muhammad (Benjamin Charles Watson) is trying to break into the music industry, and form a complicated gay relationship with rapper Kaldrick King (Andra Fuller). It's soapy, shocking, and one edgy storyline dealing with the gay rapper. The acting is functional. But these isn't anything different. With so many characters and stories, things get diffused. This was shown on CW with horrible ratings. It's low production cost probably allowed them to air 19 episodes over 2 seasons. It never had a chance. And they never had a big star or a big breakout in the show. Without that, there's just isn't an audience.
