I've watched David Fincher's Panic Room not too long ago for the very first time. And I was blown away by what a tense thriller it is, so it turned comfortably into my favorite movie by the director.
This little spoof from the MTV Movie Awards was mainly nice for watching certain scenes from Panic Room again and they really picked the most significant ones. Jodie is supposed to present an award, but she's got stage fright and doesn't show up. So Black and Ferrell go to her house to get her. But too late, she's locked safely in her panic room and there seems no way to get her out. I didn't find destroying the movie plates particularly funny and same goes for the singing, so Ferrell kinda got what he deserved for stinking into the air shaft.
If you're a fan of either Ferrell or Black or the movie like myself, you should give this one a chance. Otherwise, you're not missing much. On an interesting side-note, Kristen Stewart, a supporting player in Panic Room and this parody, kept winning huge at the MTV Movie Awards a couple years after 2002 for her role as Bella Swan in Twilight.
