Bliss starts out when a sheep herder finds a girl passed out by a waterhole. She is returned to her village where it is discovered she has been raped. This is considered a sin in her village, so she is locked in a room with a noose and told to hang herself. When she can't find the strength to take her life, the leader of the village orders his son to take her to Istanbul and kill her. That is when the story really takes off and the adventure begins.
This film combines outstanding acting and storytelling with stunning atmosphere and incredible music that will make it stay with you long after you watch it. The pacing of the film is slow enough that it lets you better enjoy all the atmosphere and music but not so slow as to become boring. In fact, the story is so well crafted that it will keep you wondering what will happen next throughout the film.
