The Net 2.0 (2006 Video)
6/10
Not bad

Like most viewers I suppose, I was expecting something of a sequel to The Net, but while the premise is the same, this is a completely different film. A computer whiz has her identity stolen leaving her all alone in the world, and as Mrs. Meers always says, "Sad to be all alone in the world." However the twist here is that we're in Istanbul. Ms Deloach delivers a creditable performance of a computer whiz with moxie who finds herself without any identity in a strange city where she doesn't understand the language and there's no way to tell who to trust. Direction is tight and to the point. The plot is full of holes, but hey, it's a movie and you get a lot of scenic Istanbul to make up for that. Overall, I enjoyed this outing. One complaint: the continual trick of stopping the action for a sec throughout the movie did nothing for me nor for the film.
