A rare item, this Twentieth Century Fox little noir film from the late forties. But so boring and talkative, if you compare to Warner movies from the same decade. Not uninteresting, although, but uninspired tale of a private eye trying to solve a murder case about a man accused of a crime he did not commit. Paul Kelly does his best to save this forgettable feature. James Tinling was a Fox yes man who, among other films, directed some Charlie Chan and Mr Moto films. It could be worth to purchase his other movies, even if they are that avoidable; only if you are a real movie buff.
