A LOT OF SPOILERS!!! This movie had me going through the whole thing and I thought it was suspenseful (it even woke me up as I had fallen asleep before I started watching it) but the ending ruined this movie- not sure if it was just the ending, but the ending was definitely lame. I even started getting pretty creeped out when character Jill was talking to the murderer on the phone and traveling through the woods to find him, but then the final fight was so disappointing. You know- that final fight between murderer and victim that got away that the entire movie leads up to that is supposed to leave you satisfied, was a total bummer in this movie. The character Jill is abducted a year earlier, gets away after finding other human remains in there, the police don't believe it happened bc of her history and believes she's looney tunes, and her sister goes missing and she believes her abductor took her sister. This girl has to find him on her own what with not having the police on her side, and she has nothing to lose- With how the movie was going, I thought it was going to be a kick ass ending. Nope. There was barely a fight. He threw her in a hole, then she shot him a couple times, climbed out of the hole with the rope he put in there, got info out of him on where her sister was and then lit him on fire. The murderer was a horrible actor, barely put up a fight, and told her, "you said if i told you the truth you wouldn't kill me" Seriously dude? This is not a serial killer with other dead victims. He didn't even put up a fight! There was absolutely nothing exciting about her killing him, nor was he creepy or scary in any way. And I also did not see a point in certain characters- like the cop that told her he was new and wanted to help her- what was the point of him even being in the movie? I thought for sure towards the end that he had something to do with the murders. Nope. I always believe an ending can ruin the whole movie and this one did for me. It's a good thing I rented it cheap from redbox!
