Ghost town
28 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Julia, an investigative reporter, experiences a shocking moment after interviewing a disturbed woman as she sees the lady grab her daughter and jump out of a window into what was a sure death. Julia was having a hard time getting over that experience. When she is asked to do a piece for television about a mountain town whose people disappeared during WWII, she puts together a team to cover the story for television.

As the group arrive in the abandoned village, they begin to sense the ghost of the former inhabitants of the town. Julia is followed by a young girl who, as the story unfolds it is clear she and the rest of the villagers died a horrible death at the hand of a bunch of Nazis as their aircraft crashed nearby.

Unfortunately, director Juan Carlos Claver goes for the cheap visual effects that do nothing to enhance the story. As written by David Munoz and Daniel Garcia, the screenplay is poorly conceived as it appears that Julia's traumatic shock at the beginning points, in some way, or even justifies, what follows once the television crew gets into the abandoned village. This film was produced some years ago and evidently, it did not get a theatrical release for quite some time. Evidently, the producers did not even trust the material because of their fear of unfavorable acceptance by the audience they targeted.
